Took the Boys Fishing This Morning

Woke up at 5 AM with my two oldest and hit the lake before sunrise. My 8 year old caught his first fish bigger than 2 inches and lost his mind. My 6 year old spent half the time picking up rocks but who cares, he was outside with his brothers. Didn't catch much myself but that wasn't the point. These mornings don't come around often with work and school stuff. Gonna try to make it a weekly thing. Nothing beats being out on the water with your kids.

5 AM wake up with two kids is dedication. Were they actually into it or just tolerating it to spend time with dad? Either way, those are the moments that stick with them.

That's special right there. First fish is something he'll remember his whole life. What'd he catch? And more importantly, did you keep it or throw it back?

Nothing beats early morning fishing with the boys. Did your 8 year old want to go again right away or was he done after one catch?
