Took the kids fishing for the first time

We didn't catch anything but nobody cared. My 6 year old was so excited just being on the dock. We grabbed some snacks, I brought my old fishing gear, and we just hung out for a couple hours. He wants to go back next weekend. This is the stuff that actually matters.

This is exactly what it's all about. The catching fish part is just an excuse to be outside together. Those memories stick with them forever, not the fish count.
