3yo potty trained himself basically overnight???

So I'm still not 100% sure what happened here but I'm documenting it for future reference because this was the opposite of every horror story I heard. My youngest turned 3 last month and we had zero intention of pushing potty training yet. He just started asking to use the bathroom like a week ago and... that's it? He's been doing it? We're obviously still doing nighttime diapers and accidents happen but the daytime thing is mostly figured out. I know we got stupid lucky but I'm not complaining. Please tell me this holds and I don't jinx it.

Lucky man. We're at month 4 of trying with our 3yo and it's been rough. Glad yours just figured it out on his own.

This happened to us too! One day he just decided he was done with diapers. Still no idea what triggered it but I'm definitely not complaining.

This is basically every parent's dream scenario. Pretty sure we need the full story though because a lot of us are stuck in potty training hell.

Yo that's amazing. Most 3yos fight it for months. Did you do anything special with him or was it just pure luck?
