My 4yo will literally only watch dino content, wear dino clothes, read dino books. We went to the Natural History Museum in Chicago last weekend and I thought his brain might explode. He spent 3 hours just staring at the T-Rex. Ran around roaring at everyone. I'm not mad about it, just wondering if this is a phase or if I'm gonna be funding dinosaur everything for the next 5 years lol
The dinosaur phase is the best phase. My 5yo went through this for like 18 months and could tell you the difference between every theropod. Now he's moved on but those were fun memories.
Wait until they start asking for the expensive museum memberships and dino-themed birthday parties. The costume budget alone will kill you. But totally worth it to see them light up.
The Natural History Museum trip is a good call. Fair warning though, once they see a real skeleton they're going to want to go back constantly. Get the membership if your local museum has one.

Did you check out the Dinosaur Train show? Honestly better than I expected and it fed my son's dino obsession for years. Plus it's educational without feeling preachy.
4yo dino clothing is peak dad win material. Does he have a favorite? My kid was obsessed with ankylosaurs for a solid year and it was hilarious.
