Birthday party was actually fun and nothing went wrong

We pulled off my son's 8th birthday party at the park without a single meltdown from him or us. Got the setup done in like 20 minutes, all the kids actually played together, parents sat around and didn't create drama, nobody forgot to bring the cake (that was my biggest fear), and it wrapped up right on time. I know this sounds small but last year was an absolute nightmare with the clown who didnt show up and my daughter's attitude the whole time. Feeling pretty good about how we handled it this year. Already thinking about what we're doing for next year haha.

Getting through an 8 year old's party with zero meltdowns is basically a miracle. You deserve a medal. Seriously though, that's impressive planning or you just got lucky with the kids' moods that day.
