Built a treehouse with my boys this weekend

Spent Saturday and Sunday in the backyard with the 8 and 10 year old. Just some 2x4s, a platform, and a rope ladder but man they were so excited. They kept saying it was the coolest thing ever. Worth every blister on my hands. We're already planning upgrades for next month.

This is what it's about. I'm only a month in but I can already tell the memories you're making this weekend are going to matter way more than anything else. Rope ladder and all.

Weekend well spent. I know my hour commute each way eats into time like this, but when I get those days to build something with the kids, nothing else compares. You nailed it.

That's the stuff right there. Two days with your hands building something they'll remember forever beats any screen time. Those 8 and 10 year olds are gonna think about that treehouse for years.
