Was making dinner and peeked into the living room. My 9yo was helping his 5yo sister build this massive Lego castle thing. He wasn't even annoyed about it. Sometimes you see little moments where you realize the parenting might actually be working.
That's awesome man. My 9yo is finally getting to that age where she helps her little brother without me asking like 5 times. It's a glimpse into the future and it's pretty cool.
That's the stuff right there. Those moments when they just DO the right thing without you asking make all the other chaos worth it. What were they building?

This is beautiful man. At 9 he's getting it. My oldest is the same way with his little brother and it makes me feel like maybe I'm doing something right.
