Dad win: Took all three kids to the zoo SOLO

Did it. Ages 4, 6, and 9. By myself. For 5 hours. And nobody got lost, nobody melted down (okay one small thing with the 4yo and cotton candy but we recovered), and we all had a great time. My wife was skeptical when I suggested it but I was like "I got this." Spoiler alert: I got this. The 6yo was hilarious watching the monkeys and kept copying them. The oldest was into the educational stuff. The youngest just wanted to pet things. Would 100% do it again.

Your wife being skeptical is so relatable. I feel like moms sometimes assume dads can't handle solo kid management but honestly a lot of us are totally capable? We just don't talk about it enough.

5 hours solo with three kids at the zoo is legitimately one of the hardest things you can do as a parent. The variety of ages, the energy levels, the constant stimulation. You did good.
