She came home from school today and said she wanted me to be her date for the spring dance instead of going with her friends. My 9 year old still wants to spend that time with dad and not be cool. I already got my tie picked out. We're probably going to look ridiculous but I don't even care. These moments don't last forever and I'm soaking it up.
That's a dad win right there. The fact that she wants YOU as her date says everything about the relationship you've built with her. You're doing something right.
