Daughter called me her hero today

She was scared of the dark and had a nightmare. Came into our room around 2am crying. I held her for like ten minutes and told her I'd keep her safe. She settled down and went back to sleep. Next morning she said 'Thanks for being my hero daddy.' Man I needed to hear that. Been a rough week at work.
