Just found out my 9yo made the competitive soccer team she tried out for. She was so nervous going in, kept saying she wasn't good enough. Watched her play in the tryout and she gave it everything. Got the call today and she literally screamed when I told her. Now she's doing laps around the house. So proud I could burst.
So proud for her, dude. Competitive soccer at 9 is a big deal and she earned it. Make sure you let her know how proud you are.
That's awesome! You can see how much that belief from you matters. Taking that nervousness and pushing through anyway, that's something she'll carry with her.
This is the best feeling as a parent right here. She's going to have so much fun and make great friends. Get ready for a lot of early weekend games though.
