I know this sounds silly but my 7 year old just came up to me out of nowhere and said I'm the best dad in the whole world. We weren't even doing anything special, just hanging out on the couch watching cartoons. Hit me right in the feels man. These moments are what it's all about.
Dude, soak that in. Between work and keeping up with two kids' schedules, those unprompted compliments are like hitting the lottery. That's a win.
