My 5 year old just told me I'm her favorite parent. I know it probably changes daily but man it hit different this time. I was just helping her with her shoes and she just said it out of nowhere. My wife wasn't even upset, she just laughed. Riding this high all day.

Dude this is the best feeling in the world. I got the same thing last month and I literally got choked up. Don't downplay it even if it changes, moments like this are what parenting is all about.

Those moments stick with you forever man. I still remember when my oldest said that to me and it's been years. Soak it in because yeah you're right, it probably will change tomorrow but that's okay haha.
