Daughter said I was the best cook ever today

Made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, nothing fancy. My 7 year old literally said it was better than her mom's cooking. Obviously my wife is the better cook and she was laughing about it but man I felt like I'd won the lottery. Kid wanted thirds. These little moments hit different when you're a dad.

This right here. You're creating the memory that matters. She won't remember if it was fancy, she'll remember it was made by dad.

Dude yes. My 7 year old said the same thing about my burgers last month and I felt like I won father of the year. Simple meals hit different when your kid genuinely loves them.

That's the good stuff right there. Doesn't matter if it's fancy when they light up like that. Those moments stick with them forever.
