She scraped her knee pretty bad at soccer practice yesterday. Nothing serious but she was upset. Today I made her favorite breakfast, put a cool band-aid on it, and we watched some movies together. Before bed she hugged me and said 'Thanks for making me feel better, you're my hero.' Man, this parenting thing is the best.
This is everything. My son said something similar last year and I think about it on hard days. You're doing great.
