Daughters soccer game - she scored her first goal

My 7 year old just scored her first goal in her soccer league and the pure joy on her face when she realized what she did... man. She came running over to the sideline and jumped into my arms. I told her how proud I was and she said 'I did it for you daddy.' I'm not crying at my desk right now, you're crying. What an amazing kid.

Those moments are everything. I remember my daughter's first goal like it was yesterday. That face tells you all you need to know about why we do this dad thing. Congrats to her and you.

This is the good stuff right here. Forget the hard days, this is what sticks with you. Frame a picture from that moment if you can. Seven year old soccer stars are the best.

That's huge. First goal is such a big deal for them. I coached flag football and those breakthrough moments are why you show up every practice. The pure joy on her face is the whole reason right there.
