Discussion: Are we overscheduling our kids or is this just normal now?

Looking at the calendar and my 8yo has soccer, piano lessons, and a Tuesday art class. That's not including school stuff and homework. My parents laugh because they said I did like one activity per year as a kid. Is this what everyone's doing now or are we crazy? Seems like he barely has time to just... play. But also I don't want him missing out on stuff his friends are doing. What's the sweet spot here?
