Finally built that treehouse with my oldest

Took us 4 weekends but we finished it. He designed most of it and really helped with the building. Watching him climb up there for the first time and see the whole backyard from up there... man that was something special. He's already planning the next level.

Four weekends seems worth it for something like this. I bet he tells all his friends he built a treehouse with his dad. That's a story he's gonna have forever.

This right here is what it's about. Four weekends with your kid working on something he designed - that's the stuff they remember forever. How is the treehouse holding up? Are they using it constantly?

The fact that he helped design it makes this even better. My oldest did the same thing with a fort we built and he was so proud of every detail. Those are the best projects to do with them.
