Finally got my kids to genuinely play together without fighting

I've got a 5 year old and an 8 year old and for like two hours today they just played Mario Kart together and actually had fun. No screaming, no controller throwing, no tattling on each other. They were just laughing and being brothers. My wife asked me what I did different and honestly I have no idea but I'm not questioning it. Best Saturday afternoon in months. Moments like this make all the chaos worth it.
