Finally got my son interested in baseball and I'm obsessed
8yo Jake has been resistant to sports his whole life. Too much pressure, too competitive, not fun. We've tried soccer, basketball, nothing stuck. Randomly took him to a minor league game last month and something just clicked. Now we're out in the backyard 3-4 times a week working on his swing. Yesterday he hit THREE solid ones in a row and the grin on his face... man. I know I gotta be careful not to push too hard but this feels different. He's genuinely excited to go practice. Anyone else have a kid who just needed to find the right activity?
This is awesome man. Jake sounds like he just needed to find his own way into it instead of feeling forced. Did you do anything specific to hook him or did he just naturally start getting curious watching you?
