Finally got my son to ride a bike without training wheels

After like 6 months of him refusing to even try, we went out today and he just decided to do it. We did the whole let go thing and he took off down the driveway on his own. He crashed into the grass at the end but he was LAUGHING about it. Then he wanted to do it again and again. I must have looked like an idiot in the front yard just standing there grinning like a maniac. Best Saturday we've had in a while.

This is the kind of win that nobody else understands but us parents get it completely. Six months of patience and then boom, he just does it. I'm still riding high from getting my oldest to swim without the floaty last summer. It never gets old.
