After months of trying, my daughter finally rode without training wheels today. We went to the park early this morning, just the two of us. I let go and she went about 20 feet before wobbling. She got back up, tried again, and nailed it. Wanted to freeze time right there. She kept screaming I did it daddy I did it. These are the moments that matter.
Man, that's a huge milestone. I remember when my oldest finally got it and wouldn't stop riding for weeks. One-on-one time like that makes it even better.
That's awesome! Those early morning sessions are special. My daughter learned the same way and now I can't keep up with her on the trails. Your back will thank you later though, unlike mine after all the piggyback rides.
The confidence boost they get from that is incredible. My son just learned too and suddenly he thinks he can do anything.
