First day of high school was today

My oldest is a freshman. Dropped her off this morning and she seemed nervous but excited. Picked her up 7 hours later and she couldn't stop talking about it - found her people apparently, has lunch with three new friends, already has homework lol. I know this is the beginning of the end of having her around but today felt like a total win. She came home and hugged me which like... doesn't happen that often anymore? I'm cool with the small victories.
