First successful fishing trip with the kids

Took my 8 and 10 year old out on the lake for the first time without my dad there to help. We caught 4 fish, nobody fell in, and we didn't lose a single rod. My oldest said it was the best day ever. Pretty sure I got all the feels in the truck on the way home not gonna lie.

This is the dream right here. My kids are still too young to sit still on a boat but man I can't wait for fishing trips like this. How long did you stay out?

Did you have to bait the hooks or did they want to do it themselves? My 8 year old would either want to do everything or refuse to touch the fish.

That's awesome man! Taking them out solo is a big step. Did they catch anything or was it more about just being out there together?
