I was making pancakes this morning, nothing special, just a regular Tuesday. My 4yo walks in, hugs my leg and says 'I love you so much daddy.' Didn't ask for it, didn't prompt it, just came out of nowhere. I legit had to turn away and pretend I was messing with the stove because I got all emotional. That's my whole week right there, maybe my whole month.
Man, those are the moments that stick with you forever. I'm not gonna lie, I teared up reading this. Making pancakes and getting an unexpected I love you. That's the good stuff right there.
This is what I'm here for. My little one is still at the stage where I'm just trying to keep her fed and happy, but man, these stories give me hope.
