Fixed the kitchen sink myself and saved like 300 bucks

Watched some YouTube videos and actually figured out what was wrong instead of calling a plumber. The kids were watching me work and asking questions about how stuff functions. By the end my 10yo understood basic plumbing and I felt like an actual man again lol. Plus my wife was impressed. Simple things but feels good to provide for your family and teach your kids skills at the same time.

Nice work tackling that yourself. I'm still figuring out what tools I actually need, but getting the kids involved while you work is gold. They're learning it's not magic, just YouTube and patience.

That's killer! And the fact that your kids were watching you problem-solve is worth way more than the 300 bucks. That's how they learn it's okay to figure things out.

Respect. YouTube University has saved me a ton of money too. Plus showing the kids you can handle problems like that sets a good example.
