Got a home run at my kids baseball game and they went absolutely nuts

I'm in the parent volunteer game and hit a home run in the last inning. Not a big deal normally but my kids were in the bleachers and the way they screamed and jumped around like I was a professional player was amazing. My daughter told everyone at school her dad hit a home run. We're probably never going to stop talking about this one.

I've hit some balls in parent games but the energy from the kids when it actually matters to them is totally different. Good on you for being that dad in the moment.

Wait you're out there playing too? That's gold. My kids think it's the coolest thing when they see me actually play instead of just sitting on the sidelines.

Dude that's amazing. Nothing beats seeing your kids light up like that in the stands. Those moments stick with them forever even if you don't think it's a big deal.
