Got an Unexpected Thank You from My Teenager

My 14yo came into the kitchen this morning and said thanks for always being around, that his friend's dad never shows up to stuff and he's glad mine does. I literally just stood there holding my coffee like an idiot because I wasn't expecting that at all. These are the moments that make all the 6am soccer games and saying no to stuff with my friends worth it. Definitely gonna remember this one.
