Got called out by my daughter in front of her whole soccer team

So I'm coaching my 8 year olds soccer team and I'm trying to be all serious about fundamentals right. I'm doing the classic dad thing where I'm probably too intense about it. My daughter stops mid drill and yells 'Dad you're being weird again!' in front of like 15 kids. Everyone laughed including me. She was right though. We had so much more fun after I lightened up. Best coaching lesson ever from my kid.

That's actually a win in my book, dude. She felt comfortable enough to say something and the team probably got a kick out of it. Shows her you can laugh at yourself, which is exactly what kids need to see from their coach.

Haha that's great, your daughter keeping you honest in front of the team. At least she cares enough to call you out. My daughter does the same thing with my volleyball coaching sometimes and it actually makes me a better parent.
