Got honest feedback from my oldest about my parenting

My 13yo told me (gently) that I yell too much when he forgets stuff. Like, he wasn't being disrespectful, just honest. Hurt a bit but he was right. Been really trying to pause and take a breath instead. It's hard and I mess up but he's noticed. He said it yesterday when I handled a broken glass situation calmly. Feels like we're actually leveling up our relationship
