Went to dinner with my wife and 3yo last night. She kept refusing the broccoli so I told her dinosaurs love eating tiny trees. She ate the whole plate. Wife rolled her eyes at me but hey, whatever works right?
Haha nice one. We've had good luck with calling veggies by fun names at Taco Tuesdays. Kids eat what they think is cool, not what's actually on the plate.
That's genius man. My boys are 7 and 9 now and I still use stuff like that at the dinner table. The dinosaur angle would've worked great when they were that age too.
The dinosaur angle is genius. My 3yo won't touch vegetables either so I might have to steal this trick. Did she actually eat the whole portion or just a few bites?
We call them 'magic trees' in our house and it works surprisingly well. These little rebranding tricks are way more effective than just saying 'eat your vegetables.'
