Got my teenager to actually talk to me about school

Not just grunts and one word answers either. We were driving to soccer and he told me about his new friend group, some drama with a girl he likes, college stuff he's thinking about. I just listened and asked questions. The old man's still got it I guess.

This gives me hope for the future. My little guy is only four months old but knowing that real conversations are possible down the line makes the sleepless nights feel worth it.
