We got the Owlet about 6 months ago and honestly the peace of mind alone is worth it. Being able to check the app when you're downstairs watching TV instead of tiptoeing into the nursery every 10 minutes has been a game changer for us.
We skipped the Owlet with our first but got one for our second and I'm kicking myself we didn't have it earlier. The anxiety is real with newborns and this actually helps instead of just feeding the worry spiral.

The Owlet saved my sanity when our daughter had that one night where her O2 dropped. Got alerted and were able to move her position and everything turned out fine. Some people think it's unnecessary but honestly after that I don't care what they think.
