My 6 year old was doing drills and somehow kicked the ball backwards right into the coach's shins. Coach wasn't hurt but my kid freaked out thinking he was in trouble. Then he said 'sorry Mr. Johnson I think my feet are broken' and the whole field erupted. These random moments are what I'll remember when he's older.
That's the kind of story you tell at his graduation someday. The backwards kick into the coach's shins is peak soccer kid energy right there.
Haha that's classic! My oldest did something similar at baseball last year and I thought he was gonna cry for an hour. Kids are so hard on themselves at that age, but I bet the coach thought it was hilarious.
