Just got back from our first father-son camping trip and WOW
Took my 9yo to Yosemite for three days. I was honestly nervous because he's not super outdoorsy but I wanted to try. We did some easy hikes, made s'mores, told dumb jokes by the campfire. Best part was when he caught his first fish (small trout, we put it back) and the pure joy on his face. On the drive home he was quiet for like an hour and then goes "Dad can we do this every year?" and I had to pull over because I got something in my eye lol. Already planning next year's trip.
Yosemite in the off season hits different. Which time of year did you go? Spring is wild because everything is just blooming.
So is he more into it now or was it a one-time thing? Either way you got him to try something new which is the real win.
