We were just sitting on the couch eating pizza and watching Bluey and my 8yo just goes "Dad you're like my best friend." I had to turn away for a second because yeah I was definitely tearing up. All the stressful days and bedtime battles and worrying if I'm doing this right... this one moment made it all worth it.

Dude that's the moment right there. That's what it's all about. The best part of this whole gig is when they see you differently, like you're actually cool to them.
This is peak dadding right here. Nothing beats just being with them and having them think you're the coolest person around.
