Kid said I was the best dad ever today
All I did was make dino nuggets and build a fort with blankets. That's it. But apparently that was championship level parenting. I'm riding this high for the rest of the week.

Fort building is criminally underrated. My kids still talk about the fort we made two years ago. Simple stuff sticks with them way more than I expected.
This is what it's all about. You didn't need to spend money or plan some big thing. You just showed up and engaged. That's the win.
Dino nuggets and a blanket fort. That's the formula right there. My kid says the same thing when I just sit down and actually play with them instead of being on my phone.
Dino nuggets and a blanket fort. Peak parenting right there. My kids will remember that kind of stuff way more than anything I buy them.
Man that's everything. You showed up and were present. That's what they remember. My daughter told me something similar after we spent the afternoon by the creek just messing around.

The simplest things hit hardest. When your kid thinks you're the best dad ever because of dino nuggets and a fort, you know you're doing something right. Soak that one in.
