Kid surprised me with a homemade father's day card

Came home from work and my oldest left a card on my desk. It was construction paper folded and decorated with stickers, had a drawing of us doing yard work together. Inside it said I'm the best dad ever and love you to the moon. I literally teared up at my desk. Made me realize how the little stuff is what they remember. Already told my wife I'm keeping this forever.

That's awesome man. Those handmade cards hit different than anything you could buy. Mine still has all her stickers and crayon marks and I keep it in my desk drawer.

Those moments are what it's all about. The fact that she took the time to draw you guys together doing yard work shows she's paying attention to what matters to you.

Dude, this is so cool. I'm still waiting for my oldest to surprise me like this but these are the wins that make all the chaos worth it.
