Kids actually played outside for 3 hours without asking for their tablets

I know this sounds small but it felt huge. Built a fort in the backyard, they had a whole adventure thing going on. I checked on them every 20 mins and they were genuinely having fun. No screens, no fighting, just being kids. Made me remember why we moved to this neighborhood. Just wanted to celebrate it somewhere cause the wife was like yeah that's what kids do and I'm like BUT THEY DIDN'T ASK FOR SCREENS.

That's not small at all, that's huge. Three hours outside with no screens is basically a parenting jackpot. Backyard forts are where the magic happens.

This is exactly what it's about. They were completely engaged in their own adventure and you got to watch it happen. That's a win.
