Usually they just want cereal but I felt like trying something different. Threw in some blueberries, made them into fun shapes with the spatula. My 4 year old said they were 'the best pancakes ever made in the whole world' lol. Not sure that's technically true but I'll take it.
When they ask for seconds, you know you did something right. The little victories like this are what make it all worth it.
Dude, that's the dream right there. My boys are similar ages and when they actually get excited about something I made instead of asking for cereal, it hits different. You nailed it with the fun shapes.
Yo that's awesome! Mine still prefer cereal most mornings but when I make pancakes they do something special. There's something about knowing you made the whole thing that makes them taste better, I think.
That's the sweet spot right there. When they actually enjoy something you made from scratch, it hits different than just pouring cereal. Blueberries are always a winner with my kids too.
