My 10yo beat me at chess for the first time and I'm weirdly emotional

We've been playing casually for like a year. I'm not even good at chess but he's been studying the strategy guides he found at the library. Today he legit outplayed me. Didn't go easy, he actually played better. Part of me wanted to let him win but I didn't and he earned it. He's been walking around all day like he won the lottery lol. Kind of cool seeing that moment where you realize your kid is getting smart enough to beat you at stuff. Anyway just wanted to share because my wife is tired of hearing about it 😂
