Started teaching him some basic stuff when he asked but clearly I'm the limiting factor here. Anyway he wants to join the chess club so we're letting him. Pretty cool to watch him find something he's actually into.
This happened to me with chess too and I realized that's just how it works - they learn it fresh without all our bad habits, play their friends constantly, and suddenly they're teaching ME. It's cool actually
15 moves is actually insane. Did he study openings or just has an instinct for it? Either way you should keep him in school chess club, he clearly has the aptitude
