My 11yo just beat me at Mario Kart and won't let me forget it
He's been training for like weeks. Blue Shells, drift boosts, the whole thing. Finally got first place in Rainbow Road and now he's made himself a little trophy out of paper and tape. It's sitting on his desk. Every time he walks by it he points at me and does that slow-mo victory pose.
I'm actually kind of proud? And also maybe a little bummed I got wrecked by my kid at the one thing I thought I was decent at haha. But watching him be this happy about a win hits different when you're a dad.
Rainbow Road of all tracks! That's actually impressive. Most kids can't handle the chaos. He's playing competitively now.
