I gave him a banana for snack and he just looked at me and goes "thank you daddy". His mom's been working on manners but man that just melted my heart. Feeling like we're doing something right with this kid.

This is huge! Three year olds don't usually think about that stuff. Sounds like his mom's been putting in serious work on the manners front but also sounds like he's getting it from both of you.

That's awesome! Those unprompted moments hit different. My son's still at the age where he needs reminding but when it happens naturally I feel like I'm doing something right.

Those moments are what it's all about. When they start showing you they're absorbing the stuff you're teaching them without being prompted? That's a win for sure.
