We weren't even pushing it that hard but over the past month he just decided he was done with diapers. No accidents in like 3 weeks now. Every time he goes he yells "DAD I USED THE POTTY" and I get to do the dad victory dance. My wife is as relieved as I am because we were not ready for a months-long battle. Seriously underrated win in the parenting world.
Cold turkey at 3 is actually incredible. We tried everything with our youngest and it took forever. What did you do different or did he just decide on his own?
That's awesome man, congrats to your little guy! My son and I are still in the thick of it but hearing stories like this gives me hope that he'll just click one day. Sounds like you handled the low-pressure approach perfectly.
Three weeks with no accidents is legit impressive. We've done a ton of road trips and potty training was way less stressful when we just let our kids lead the way like you did. Nice work.
The low pressure approach really does work better. Kids know their own bodies. Not pushing it probably helped him feel like it was his choice, which made it stick.

That's amazing dude. My 3yo is nowhere near there yet and everyone says not to push it but also everyone has an opinion about when it should happen. Glad you got the easy version.
