My 4 year old said I'm his best friend
We were building with blocks and he just randomly said 'Dad you're my best friend.' I literally had to fight back tears in front of him. These moments man. They grow so fast.

This is what it's all about. Forget the stress and the sleepless nights, this right here is why we do it. Treasure that moment because he'll remember it.
That's the stuff right there. Not the big trips or expensive toys, it's building blocks and being present. Those words from your kid are worth more than anything. Frame this moment.
Best friend status at 4 years old. That's the goal right there. Enjoy it because they grow up fast and the simple block building time goes away quicker than you think.
Dude, at 3 months I can't wait for moments like this. Storing this post for when things get tough.
This is the stuff that makes the long days worth it. My kids are older now and they're not saying things like that as much, so soak it in.
Man, that's everything right there. My oldest is 6 now and those moments still hit different. You're building memories way more important than any block tower.
Man that's the good stuff right there. Those moments stick with you. Block building sessions hit different when your kid thinks you're the coolest person alive.
Get yourself together because you're about to cry and it's totally justified. That's a best friend moment right there.
Oh man, that hits different. Those random moments where they just say something like that stick with you forever. Your 4 year old nailed it - dads and kids building stuff together is basically peak friendship.

I got something in my eye reading this. My oldest is 10 now and I miss when they said stuff like that completely unprompted. Soak that up man.
