My 4yo finally tied his own shoes
Been working with him on this for months. This morning he just did it without asking for help and I literally teared up a little. My wife caught it on video. These little wins hit different when you're a dad man.

Nothing beats watching them nail something they've been working toward. That's the good stuff right there.
These are the moments that stick with you forever. Tearing up is totally normal, you earned that one.
Those moments are everything. All those repetitions finally clicking and then just doing it on his own? That's the good stuff right there. You earned that win through patience.
Love this. Getting to see them do something independently that you've been teaching them is such a rush. Next thing you know they're doing all sorts of stuff without asking. Cherish the little wins.
Shoe tying is legitimately one of those milestones that feels way bigger than it should. But it really is a sign that he's developing the fine motor skills and focus to do harder things. Props on sticking with him through the process.

That's a big one. All those months of practice paying off, and him feeling that independence when he does it solo. You got it on video too, perfect.
