Spent like 3 weekends running behind him in the park and today he just took off on his own. Didn't fall or anything, just rode 50 feet down the path like he'd been doing it his whole life. He was so proud of himself and honestly I was tearing up a little bit haha. Best feeling ever watching them hit those moments.
The training wheels coming off is REAL. So many dads want to just let them ride, but there's something special about those weekends of running behind them, catching them, getting them back up. You did the work and now you get to see it pay off.
We're in the middle of this with one of ours right now. Did he figure out the balance thing or was it more about confidence? Trying to know when to hold on and when to let go.
