I know this sounds small but my wife and I have been working on manners with our son for months. Tonight he just ate his chicken tenders and looked at me and said 'thank you for dinner dad I really liked it'. I almost teared up at the dinner table. These moments make all the chaos worth it.

I remember when mine started doing stuff like this unprompted and it was like the hardest work we've done actually paid off. It IS a win. Celebrate it.

This hits different. My 7 year old finally started doing this naturally last year and I was so proud. You and your wife clearly taught him right.
