All I did was let him pick what we had for lunch and helped him build a fort in the living room. He came up and hugged me and said it unprompted. Going to remember this forever. These moments go by so fast.

Dude yes, those unprompted compliments are what we're all chasing. The fact that it came from something simple like lunch choice and a fort means you're doing it right.
